Born in Osaka, 1993. Shunta Sakamoto is a graphic designer who leads Play.Graphics, an R&D studio exploring "Graphics as Playthings." After graduating from Musashino Art University, he worked in art direction at Hakuhodo before co-founding creative studio NEW Creators Club. Using programming and physical mechanisms, he creates graphic experiences that can be touched, moved, and played like instruments — questioning the possibilities of graphic design beyond viewing and information delivery. In 2025, he presented "Modular Graphic Synthesizer," a graphic performance instrument, at deTour Hong Kong. His work has been recognized with the JAGDA New Designer Award and the JAGDA Award, among others.
